Pamela Carter-Germany is a 25-year writer with disciplines in areas such as technical writing for major corporations, business writing, grant writing, research writing, as well as coaching students in the writing of theses, dissertations, curricula, and website design, development, and management. She has Masters Degree in Technical Writing / Technical Communications and a Technical Writing Certification from the University of Washington. She also has a PhD in Urban Ministries from Aspen Christian College and Seminary.
Technical Writing – 20 Years
Pamela has a 20-year background in technical writing that includes ancillary disciplines of project management and senior analyst as she documents processes and controls, manuals, and white papers for corporations such as The Boeing Company; Colorado Department of Transportation; Kaiser Permanente, Microsoft Corporation; Pearson Education; Sisters of Charity Health Systems; T-Mobile; Washington Mutual; and World Vision.
Business Writing – 10 Years
Pamela taught a business class for small business startup from 1992 – 1997, which included supporting business owners in the development of their business plans and helping them to obtain loans from $5,000 to $50,000. Small business classes were an average of 10 weeks and included partnership with the Small Business Administration, local banks, and presentations from local successful businesses people.
Grant Writing – 8 Years
Pamela was part of the Seattle Association of Grant Writers and primarily wrote grants for homelessness for non-profit organizations in partnership with the Homeless Coalition for the State of Washington. Writing included churches that provided shelter to the homeless from 1991 through 1996 and then for the Homes of Naomi, Ruth, and Boaz from 2009 through 2012. Partnerships included several community organizations, as well as the City and County of Tacoma Washington, and the City of Seattle.
